Hello Graham, my daughter is horrified that Valencia has been voted the Best Place to Live , shes quite covetous about her 'own ' corner of paradise. She did find a flat she liked in the city , but tells me the prices are rising fast and she couldn't afford it . Ill pass on your advice to persevere. In other news its been Global Freezing up here in Scotland and ive had to use the central heating on more than one occasion. I have a cold :( Lovely photograph....one can dream :)

Hi Graham, we enjoy your podcast and listen to the information about moving to Valencia, as we were thinking ourselves of such a move. One common unrelated would be the following. when you’re doing the podcast, you might consider turning off the music completely when you’re talking and just using the music for an introduction as it seems to get in the way of what you’re saying and distracts at least for me a little bit just one person’s perspective. Is there a way for an EU national (Dutch in my case) to take advantage of the lower tax rate? At the moment I already work self employed from my property as non resident in Spain for Dutch companies and pay all my taxes to The Netherlands. If there is no way based on the above, perhaps me having been born in South Africa could be a pathway to get the visa.

Agree it's not right at all. Are there any opportunities at all buying at Spanish property auction?

Hello Graham , alas I'm not among the clientele you're aiming at , but if I could move to Valencia it'd be the climate , pace of life .... sitting on the balcony listening to the birds while I drink my coffee sounds bliss . It's a beautiful city , I did visit years ago , and my lovely daughter lives there ....she is now more Spanish than Brit I feel. Maybe she'll take up citizenship in the future. She has some savings but tells me she cannot afford to buy where she wants to live so she rents with a friend at the moment . Anyway , I'm stuck in chilly Scotland but I can dream , which is why I listen to your podcasts:) Be well Veronica.

I was allowed 4 weeks vacation but I couldn't take 20 consecutive days. Many times I didn't use my days and they would only allow me to carry over just 3 days. I wish I had traveled more when I was younger. I sort of discovered my love for Spain after finding relatives on Tenerife, Canary Islands. Never too late to see Spain...

Your fans always appreciate your videos. It doesn't even matter if they're of you and Yoli on your patio just talking about Spain and moving to Spain. You do your homework and you are both always ready with information. My first experience of you and Yoli was in your apartment chatting about misconceptions about Spain and the Do's and Don'ts about Spain. I am hooked now.

I stumbled on James and Yoli in early 2019, because I was planning a trip to the Canary islands to visit my family for the first time, and then head to southern Spain to tour the area. I wanted to acquaint myself with some customs and where to go, so in pops James and Yoli...I haven't left them yet. I look forward to each video for their amazing information about history of each area and the great places to eat and drink. Their walking tours show amazing landscapes and I love how they bring us along on their vacations.

It was lovely to see these two pieces of our COVID research world come together. I was also struck by James describing us at 19m30s. Thanks for taking the time to record and share, Graham. Your years of transparency about what it takes to move to and live in Spain, especially our lovely home of València, is engendering trust and we will continue to thank you for it well beyond the actual purchase of our home.
